Welcoming our spatial experts to TasICT

We are pleased to announce that TASSIC has joined TasICT, bringing together two communities that are fundamental to Tasmania’s digital and economic future.

TASSIC has long been focused on connecting industry, government and community around spatial information – data that helps people understand the world through location. From infrastructure planning and property transactions to environmental management and emergency response, spatial data underpins many of the systems and decisions that shape everyday life in Tasmania.

For many Tasmanians, this is most visible through The LIST, the State’s land information and mapping platform, which supports property, development, asset management and exploration across Tasmania.

TasICT’s work  aligns closely with TASSIC’s view that data, digital capability and technology are essential to better policy, stronger industries and more resilient communities.

Through this partnership, TASSIC and TasICT will:

  • Host joint events and networking opportunities
  • Encourage greater cross-sector collaboration
  • Align advocacy on issues impacting Tasmania’s digital and spatial ecosystem

We look forward to working together to support a more connected, collaborative and forward-looking technology community across Tasmania.
