The 2022 Tasmanian ICT Conference and Innovation Exhibition is on Friday, Nov 11. Accordingly, the ICT sector is in for a day of informative presentations & engaging exhibits.
Admission is free but everyone must register.
The ICT industry is diverse, so the 2022 Tasmanian ICT Conference covers a wide range of topics. There will be 10 different sessions presented in two concurrent streams. Sessions last 40 minutes. In the breaks, you can explore the Innovation Exhibition and grab a tea or coffee from the complimentary hot drink stations. The free Conference Guide helps you to decide which sessions to attend. It is a handy reference to the topics, presenters, and starting times. Pick one up when you grab your lanyard at the registration desk.
All 2022 Tasmanian ICT Conference attendees can help themselves to a free light lunch. There’s sandwiches, rolls, wraps and fruit to enjoy. The lunch break is a chance to refresh, catch up with colleagues and check out the displays.
The Innovation Exhibition is full of engaging displays. Delegates have a chance to interact with the many ICT service providers and vendors between the sessions or during the lunch break. The displays are set up in the Atrium at the C3 Convention Centre. Delegates can access the exhibits all day before the start of the ICT Industry Summit. It’s a great chance to expand your list of industry contacts.
Minister for Science & Technology Madeleine Ogilvie introduces the ICT Industry Summit. Joining her, a panel of private enterprise and Government Agency leaders. As a result, conference delegates will hear directly from the decision makers. The Summit is sponsored by the Tasmanian Government. Delegates will also be able to put questions to those on the panels. A great way to end the 2022 Tasmanian ICT Conference.
When the presentations are done, the venue is prepared for the TasICT Gala Dinner. It’s held in conjunction with the Australian Computer Society (ACS) and Pearcey Foundation. The annual networking event is where industry participants connect with their peers. From 6.30pm in the Atrium, pre-dinner drinks will be available. Then guests proceed to the Gala Dinner starting at 7.30 pm. Guests will enjoy a delicious three-course meal and a range of drinks. Many business people invite key clients to the Gala Dinner. Others use the event to treat staff. You might prefer to fill your table with family and friends. TasICT members receive a discount ticket price. In addition, there is are extra highlight at this year’s TasICT Gala Dinner. Firstly the announcement of the 2022 Pearcey State Entrepreneur of the Year winner. The Pearcey Foundation celebrates ICT sector achievements with annual state and national awards. Secondly, our Tasmanian winner is then eligible to take out the National Award which will also be announced on the night, along with the Pearcey Lifetime Acheivement Award and Hall of Fame recipient(s). Thanks to the Pearcey Foundation and ACS for teaming up with TasICT to make the Gala Dinner an event to remember.
